Once a baby is born, the priorities of that new mother become directly associated with the needs of the child. A mother wears many hats when it comes to raising her children. One of the many hats worn by mothers is acting as CEO or Chief Executive Officer of the household. The responsibilities that come with running a house and household are endless. Running a household also includes acting as the financial advisor and accountant for the family.

Balancing the checkbook is never easy and the mother is sometimes the one who has to say “no” or make executive financial decisions, when the husband is unavailable for consultation. Another task that is often overlooked, but completed by mothers is the nurturing of her marriage. Marriage takes work, we all know that and mothers put time and effort into their marriages, to continue to provide their children with both a happy home and one that has two parents.

Mothers also act as the family chef and nutritionist. By researching and developing meal schedules, a mother provides her family with healthy, tasty, and economical meals that not only satisfy their taste buds but also meet their special requests and dietary needs.

Mothers spend their days nurturing their children and providing them with the love and acceptance they need to maintain their confidence and self –esteem. Mothers also spend their days as teachers offering their children obedience training, life skills, and teach valuable lessons to aid in their positive character development. A mom teaches her children everything from the ABC’s to calculus and work as part of a collaborative team filled with teachers, coaches, and counselors to ensure that their kids receive the best, and most appropriate education and school experience.

Mothers wear many hats when it comes to raising their children, but most will agree that it isn’t work, its life.
